of all the open volunteer opportunities available for
this year's serve day by clicking here. We use
VolWorld to manage these opportunities so you'll need a

login into VolWorld by entering your username and
password above if you already have an account. If
you don't have an account you can get one by clicking

You don't
need to login before choosing an opportunity. See

What am I registering for? |
| |
When you
click the "Register Now!" button above it will
take you to a registration page where you can
fill in your basic contact information.
This is registering for a login for a tool
called VolWorld which we are using to help
organize all our volunteers among the various
ministry sites. Using this tool will help
the Project Managers at the various Urban
Ministry Sites understand who has volunteered to
help with their project and how to best use
their skills for the project. Clicking the
"Register Now!" button and completing the form
is how you will be able to tell us what project
you want to volunteer for on the serve day. |

Will my information be sold? |

No. Your information will not be sold and will only be shared with the specific church that you identified yourself with as part of the "What If..." registration process. This is solely for follow-up purposes.

Where do I get the EMAIL and PASSWORD for the login at the top of
the page? |
| |
When you
click the "Register Now!" link above you will be
directed to complete a small form with some
basic contact information about yourself.
Once you have completed the form and click
Submit at the bottom of that page you will be
sent an e-mail from VolWorld (the tool we are
using to help organize all the projects and
volunteers). This e-mail will contain your
username and password for logging into the
VolWorld volunteer management tool. Please
make a note of this username and password and
come back to the
www.whatifthechurch.net
website to login. You can also login by
clicking the link provided in the e-mail that
was sent to you but logging in through the
www.whatifthechurch.net
website will take directly to where you need to
be to start looking for (and accepting) a
volunteer position on the Serve Day. |

What is VolWorld? |
| |
VolWorld
is a free new social networking site that allows
organizations to manage projects they need
help with and mobilize the volunteers who accept those
projects. This is a simple tool that will
help our project managers determine how to best
use the volunteers who have signed up for Serve
Day. It's our sincere hope that you find
this tool easy to use and provide a great way to
see the needs our Urban Ministry Partners have
on Serve Day. VolWorld is a new tool and
they are constantly working on making it easy to
use so non-profit and other volunteer centric
organizations will have a great way to manage
their volunteer needs. They are always
looking for suggestions or even general
questions you have regarding the use of the tool
and you are free to e-mail them at
support@volworld.com.

What if I don't have an e-mail address? |
| |
E-mail is
the primary source of communication we have with
all our volunteers. We will update
volunteers with any changes to the projects they
have accepted via e-mail as well as confirming
the final time and place of where they should
report on Serve Day. VolWorld
requires that all volunteers (or at least the
leader of every household) have an e-mail
address to register and we also need an e-mail
address for efficient communication with the
thousands of volunteers we expect at this years
Serve Day event.
If you do not currently have an e-mail address
there are many ways to quickly obtain an e-mail
address for free. We have suggested a few
places below that provide safe, secure, and easy
to use e-mail accounts to anyone who needs one.
Simply following the link and fill out the form
to obtain your free e-mail address. You
can then use this address to register for Serve
Day. Three reputable e-mail account
providers are:

How do I sign-up younger family members that don't have an e-mail
address? |
| |
If your
child wants to volunteer at Serve Day but you
feel they are too young for an e-mail account of
their own, you can add "Family Members" to your
VolWorld account and accept opportunities to
serve on behalf of them.
To do this, sign in to
your VolWorld account and click on the My
Profile tab. this is a place where you can
change your account information, change your
password, and add family members to your account
who do not have e-mail addresses. Click the Add
Family Members link and then click on the Add
New Family Member link. complete the
information on the form and click submit.
Repeat this process for each family member you
wish to add to your account. You will be
asked for information about their age.
This is necessary so the project managers can
understand the age of volunteers they will have
assisting them at their site.
To accept an
opportunity on behalf of a family member, simply
click the Accept link next to opportunity you
wish to accept under the Connections tab.
If you have entered in any family members into
your account, you will now get a pop-up dialogue
box after click Accept. This will allow
you to choose who you wish to accept this
opportunity on behalf of. Repeat this step
for all family members if they are wanting to
work on different opportunities. |

How do I change my password? |
| |
Once you
register for your free VolWorld account, you
will be e-mailed a secure password to access
your account for the first time. This is
an alpha-numeric password that may be difficult
to remember. So, once you have logged into
VolWorld, click the My Profile tab and you will
see a link to change your password. Enter
your current password, then your new password
and confirm it once more then click Submit.
Next time you log into VolWorld, you will use
your new password to login. |

What do I do after I
accept an opportunity? |
| |
Once you
have accepted an opportunity to work on Serve
day, that's all you need to do.
Confirmation of this will be sent to you via
e-mail. If you have accepted an
opportunity on the VolWorld site, you are done.
Just be sure to show up at the place you
accepted on the day/time/location your
