There are three main components to the What If... structure,
the first being a series of three sermons
focusing on What if the Church…Believed Together? In 2010 the teaching tour will be April 11, 18, and 25. The Pastors of each participating church will “pulpit swap” within a triad of three churches. Within this circle of three churches each pastor will preach in the other two churches of the triad and will highlight the common themes of What IF 2010. The Themes in 2009 were Micah 6:8, What If the Church - Acted Justly, Loved Mercy and Walked Humbly. The 2010 teaching series is currently being developed.
Phase two, is the God of the City Worship Event.
What if the Church…Prayed Together? This cooperative worship/prayer experience will be held on April 28th, 2010 and will be a common event for ALL thirty of the 2010 What If churches. We will again be moved when the people from all of the What If churches come together in celebration of what God can do when the Church prays together! Just imagine the experience of thousands of people from thirty different churches praising God
together through worship and prayer!!
The third element of the What IF movement, What if the Church…Served Together? This phase represents the servant heart behind the What IF movement: our Serve Day in 2010 will be on May 1st. We are expecting over 4,000 people to be mobilized and serving all across the Kansas City urban core on this day. The same triad of three churches in the teaching phase will come together and serve side by side on the Serve Day with a common urban ministry partner.

urban ministry partners, please go

Why What If? We deeply believe that when Jesus sees His Church in Kansas City, He does not see a thousand different churches, but He sees one Church with a thousand different styles, sizes, colors, and shapes all striving for the common purpose of making Him famous in this city through love.
How Did "What If..." start? (hit the play button below)
What if...? is a complementary and cooperative movement in Kansas City where churches of different styles, tribes, and sizes are banding
together to do and be the church together. Did we mention "together"?
In 2008, three churches came together in relationship to accomplish what no one church could accomplish alone. Through mutual respect and friendship those three churches grew to eleven churches in 2009. We are now praying that thirty churches will come together in 2010 as a Light of unity and partnership in Kansas City! See the list of churches below who have already committed to partnering together for
What IF the Church...? 2010
It all started with the humble heart of one church reaching out to another asking
What If...?
